Feeback: I see your problem: one gene can be a part of more than one 'biomarker': mutation, RNA or protein levels, or part of a combination of multi-gene RNA or protein levels. I suspect you have all thought very hard about this and there is no simple and ideal solution. I would just explain your definitions in the most prominent part of the Home Page so the user cannot miss it, e.g. 'Because one gene can be part of several biomarkers, we have chosen to use the following terms: ....'

Feedback: I didn’t understand why are there separate groups “biomolecules” vs. “biomarkers”? - Is it because you want to differentiate that not all biomarkers have to be biomolecules, but they can be also cells? - Or is it because in “biomarkers” you refer to a group of biomolecules that are considered as biomarkers together? - If the last one, perhaps would be better to refer to it as “biomarker signature” or perhaps drop the groups and connect them otherwise.
