User story

As a new Sourcepool admin, I want to know how to set up the server, because I want to manage & self-host my own TTRPG content.

Who, what, and why

  • Who: Sourcepool admins/owners -- people who would be in charge of configuring the Sourcepool instance and managing TTRPG game data
  • What: Documentation showing installation and setup instructions should be created so that new Sourcepool instance admins/owners can start doing stuff with Sourcepool.
  • Why: Hopefully self-explanatory. Sourcepool instances live and die by their admin, so if the admin cannot figure out what to do with this system then the system will never be used.

Dependent features, functions, or pull requests

This is a request for documentation, basically, so the dependencies are just whatever needs to be shown in the needed documentation.

  • User flow for finding, downloading and running releases of Sourcepool Server
  • User flow for the FTUE of a Sourcepool Server
    • Admin account config
    • Server settings config
    • Game content management via pre-made/provided free content
    • How to create additional users in the instance
