First off, I want to say I absolutely love this plugin. I won't yammer on but suffice to say, it's phenomenal.
The idea I have is to add step based acceleration, rather than an acceleration bar. Almost the same way you can add steps to your PC's fan profiles. So if starting position is Y-0 and end is Y-1080, at 0% speed equals 25%, at 25% speed equals 50% at 75% speed equals 25%. So you have the option to start slow, speed up and then slow down again.
The reason I'm adding this idea is I was trying to recreate a transition effect like this, but with a one way acceleration bar, it's just not possible. https://youtu.be/CTTWZBqTmOM?t=8
