Below issue was observed during Toronto Devnet Express (May22-24, 2019) -

Introduction to Cisco DNA Center Programmability has couple slide deck that talks about northbound APIs. Upon checking with the BU, its not valid and I had to remove and modify the content.

Current content talks about Network and business apps in step 3 as whole and step 6 talks specifically around north bound APIs (Cisco DNA Center: Northbound APIs for Business Applications (5 in the diagram from the introduction)) and Cisco DNA Center: Northbound APIs for Network Applications (4 in the diagram from the introduction). BU never came up with Northbound APIs for Business Applications.

I had to change title to Intent API(and included different APIs from DNAC platform dashboard-1.2.6). I have attached the replaced slides here for step 3 and 6.

DNAC Step 6

This needs to be fixed urgently as it affects all DNE for DNA events.

Slide deck updated; please verify that fixes are correct:

I haven't removed the January 10 version of the deck.

Also while I was in there, I updated the links and screenshots from https://developer.webex.com/getting_started.html to https://developer.webex.com/docs/api/getting-started in the Intro-to-REST-APIs and DNE-DNA-v3-welcome decks.

Hi Karin, looks like I dont have access to this file-->https://cisco.box.com/s/itaw95mnoik45ypu21cq8qsmifbwn89c

Thanks. Are you able to update all instances of https://developer.webex.com/docs/api/getting-started?
The faulty link is in the REST API slide deck for each track (CC, Security, DNA and DCI), and also the Welcome slide deck for each track. It's OK for you to just update the deck live. Thanks.

@vpralhad - it's OK. We're updating the links. You'll just see the result of the updates.

@RuthCattell I think I've gotten all the getting started links for all the DNEs, so we should be good.

Hi @klevenstein , do you have an ETA to modify this? We have an event coming up in couple days.

I completed the changes on this back in June. The file is here:
https://cisco.box.com/s/itaw95mnoik45ypu21cq8qsmifbwn89c

@RuthCattell is there anything else that I need to do on this? It's been a while and I don't remember all the details.

hi @RuthCattell, who can we contact to update it on the website?

@RuthCattell

@vpralhad - can you confirm what needs to be updated please? The slides were updated in June and the link pointed to by @klevenstein is the correct, updated slide deck which is shared with 'all Cisco employees'. Does the Learning Track itself need to be updated? Sorry for the vagueness - I too can't quite remember where we were with this.

@RuthCattell , yes the website is still reflecting invalid content.

This is what the slide looks like now @vpralhad after the most recent update.

Some questions:

  • Is northbound a term that should not be used on slides?
  • Is Business apps and Network apps still inaccurate in the view you share about the BU delivery?
  • Any other notes?
