Feature Request:

I'd like to be able to zoom in and out on a page without altering the stored defaults for the page. I can spend a lot of time getting the zoom just right for a page and I don't like having to do it all over again because one time I needed to zoom in or out. I can see a few different ways this could be implemented as far as the UI goes. This would be my first choice:

2 toolbar buttons for zoom control that don't affect the stored defaults, only the present appearance. One for each of the 2 zoom settings - overall & text. Scroll up or left click to zoom in, scroll down or right click to zoom out, middle click to restore to default. I'd really like to see buttons with user re-settable icons and text names. For default text names (some of us show buttons as text) I'd suggest ZF and ZT. Long text names (& I've seen some incredible abuses) take up too much space on a toolbar. For default icons I'd suggest high contrast images with no transparency, because I've seen too many buttons get swallowed by either the window manager's theme or the browser's theme. For example, the built in PM toolbar "separator" is totally useless to me because it is nearly invisible.

Query:

As a work-around, I was thinking of trying toggling write permission of whatever file the default zoom settings are stored in. What file is that?
