The problem is in checkVersionChange where it tries to find an addon by ID, but the ID in this .js file is wrong. It uses [email protected] instead of the extension's current ID which is [email protected]
I'm guessing this was overlooked when it was taken over by the current maintainer.

The callback as a result fails because addon is undefined.
