Emuelec addon can't launch emulation station, back to Kodi

Have been using this addon 3.7 version on an Odroid N2 with no problems over the months. Tried to launch a Dreamcast game, but froze on a black screen. Unplugged and replugged the power on my Odroid like I usually do if Emuelec decides to crap out. But this time around, couldn't launch back to Emuelec. After the Emulation Station loading page, it launches back to Kodi.

Tried to uninstall, and install back from this github (doesn't seem to be available on the Coreelec Repo anymore). Same thing, after ES, setting controller config, back to Kodi. Tried to remove retroarch folder from the configfiles, still same issue. Tried with 3.6, but same thing. Help would be appreciated.
