We need to capture information about people using the free open source Gluu Server CE. Yura and I spoke about writing a script that is enabled by default (but can be opted-out of) that pushes us metrics about server use, health, etc.

Perhaps @yurem can add some thoughts about which metrics we can obtain.

A few ideas of information that might be helpful to capture:

  • Trust relationships (how many? with which apps/services?)
  • Hostname (i.e. on which url is the server deployed)
  • Number of authentications processed
  • Number of users in the server
  • Administrator name and email address

We'll need to setup a server to store the data. It would also be helpful to present the metrics in some sort of dashboard.

If this script is outside of gluu ui, I can write and display on a separate web page. Starting to think about implementing on clustermgr.
