As Paul Graham has stated:

There is a lesson here for filter writers: don't ignore data. You'd think this lesson would be too obvious to mention, but I've had to learn it several times.

Right now the model only uses the words in a title to make predictions, but there's a lot more data in a Hacker News submission that can be taken into consideration:

  • Number of upvotes
  • URL of the submission
  • Number of comments
  • User that submitted

And possibly more, if I think of more.
