Import from Karaoke Builder Studio error

When I try to put in a .kbp file into the program it tells me
"Error
An error occurred: Please use a .wav or .flac source"
despite those files not even being possible to select and being irrelevant to the option I selected
I have tried with 2 different songs that I have done from scratch from different sessions and it says the same thing for both files.

To Reproduce

1. Press "go" for the "import from Karaoke Builder Studio" option
2. Select the .kbp file
3. See error

Expected behavior
The program to read the file and for me to be able to export to a .rzlrc file

Additional context
I tried the web version first and it gave the message
"An error occurred:
Index was outside the bounds of the array."
for the project I'm currently working on, but worked just fine for the previous project
