Organising samples for TB testing

Existing 2-aminothiazoles

These compounds have been made as part of the Breaking Good project in high school workshops and first year undergraduate lab programs between 2021 and 2022. They were made as part of the MycetOS open source drug discovery project and have been tested against fungal mycetoma.

They will now be sent for testing against Mtb as part of the Open Source TB project, following NMR testing to confirm no degradation has occurred over time.

Results from testing

A small sample of molecules was sent for initial screening against the strain M37Rv.

Further testing will be done, particularly with control samples that will allow us to compare our results to those collected by other groups.
