Broken MMI after firmware update #507

Hello guys,

I'm in TROUBLE and hope that someone here can help me.

I wanted to update my firmware on my car, in order to take advantage of google earth in the VC.

I got the firmware version online and loaded on my microSD card with the adaptor. I then proceeded to patch the firmware and here is where it went really wrong. Apparently it seems like the SD card I used was corrupted or I should have not used the one with the adaptor, and caused a lot of damage to the MMI.

As it stands The MMI is in a blue screen which I believe is called Emergency Flash Utility. The emergency flash utility will attempt to read the data from the SD (which I changed to regular SD card). It will read the data, extract and attempt to install the update but runs into below error message:

GPT error Unknown error in InitGPT
(/home/jenkins/workspace/PM_build_swdl/systoo
followed by
Error Unknown Error (100) occurred in utility thread.

Then it will be stuck with blank blue screen and attempt the same process and its in the loop.

I had MHI2Q_US_AUG22_P3639 MU: 0918 firmware various, which was being update to MHI2Q_AUG22_P5087 MU:1316

Also, I have the aftermarket Android screen installed that gives me access to the MMI and the Android screen. Not sure if that would cause the issue.

Any guidance to fix the issue is appreciated.
