puri,Puri is a city and a municipality in the state of Odisha in eastern India. It is the district headquarters of Puri district and is situated on the Bay of Bengal 60 kilometres south of the state capital of Bhubaneswar. It is also known as Jagannath Puri after the 12th-century Jagannath Temple located in the city. It is one of the original Char Dham pilgrimage sites for Hindus. Puri is known by several names since the ancient times and was locally known as 'Shrikhetra' and Lord Jagannath temple is known as 'Badadeula'. Puri and the Jagannath Temple were invaded 18 times by Hindu and Muslim rulers from the 4th century AD till the early 19th century with the objective of looting the treasures of the temple. Odisha ; including Puri and its temple ; were under the British Raj from 1803 till India attained independence in August 1947. Even though princely states do not exist in India today the heirs of the Gajapati Dynasty of Khurda still perform the ritual duties of the temple. The temple town has many Hindu religious maths or monasteries. The economy of Puri town is dependent on the religious importance of the Jagannath Temple to the extent of nearly 80 percent.

It is the site of the 13th-century Sun Temple also known as the Black Pagoda built in black granite during the reign of Narasimhadeva-I. The temple is a World Heritage Site. The temple is now mostly in ruins and a collection of its sculptures is housed in the Sun Temple Museum which is run by the Archaeological Survey of India.

It is also situated on the bank of Mahanadi River. In the year 1885 Sambalpur was established as a municipality. Later in 2013 Sambalpur got the Municipal Corporation status.

balasore,Baleshwar district was part of the ancient Kalinga kingdom which later became a territory of Koshala or Utkal, till the death of Mukunda Dev. It was annexed by the Mughal Empire in 1568 and remained as a part of their suzerainty up until 1700s. The British East India Company (EIC) established a factory at Balasore in 1633. As Calcutta rose in importance, Balasore became the center for river pilot services for vessels seeking to ascend the Hooghli River."

jeypore,Jeypore is the largest town after Brahmapur of south Odisha and the Sub-Division of Koraput district of Odisha, India. Along with Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Balasore, Puri and Brahmapur, Jeypore is one of the prominent places of Odisha. Jeypore pronounced in Odia as Joypur, literally means "the city of victory". Nature has bestowed Jeypore generously with waterfalls and dense green forests. This is also a prominent business place on southern Odisha. It is encompassed by hills of the Eastern Ghats and the more famous Araku hills on three sides like a horse shoe with the western side opening up to Chhattisgarh in central India. It is the business hub for the district.
