Hello All,

On Arch Linux the game can't really convert the MIDI files to music. I have sound in the game but no music. The videos are also muted. I have the latest ffmpeg installed on this machine.

from time to time i have an itch to play rts - just old school build base, swarm units style. And war1gus is my first pick Even when broodwar, war3 & Aoe2ee exist.. Also its great on multi i enjoy my matches with TaShadan.

The extractor does not convert the midi music by default, you need to be able to play midi music. You can run war1tool with the optional -m switch. It will use timidity and ffmpeg from your PATH to convert the music to ogg and use that. Alternatively, just set the TIMIDITY_CFG environment variable to a timidity config (I like this one converted to timidity.cfg with unsf) and SDL with use that soundfont to play the midi files. Otherwise, these are also nice.
