Here's my target main menu:

  • Movies (default parent node)
-- rule: genres is not HomeMovies
  • Videos (custom parent node)
    -- rule: genres is HomeMovies

My custom parent node (Videos) is filtered on genres as expected, but the Movies parent node is not filtered at all. I also gave it a try with a contain or does not contain rules on genre or with a does not contain in path rule, but the Movies node never gets filtered.

General support is probably better requested on the Kodi forums than on git - http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=224512

In this case it would also be useful to post examples of the nodes that the editor has created - movie nodes, for example, will be in [userdata]/library/video/movies/ - without seeing the underlying code for the nodes, it's hard to say what may be the issue.
