Disable the hints #305

I got diagnosed with pericarditis after the first dose and am still recovering six weeks later. I'm quite annoyed by the reminders about the shot on the Transfer Code function, given that I'm still discussing the safety of doing it with doctors.

Is it possible to disable the hints? Barring that, am I able to compile and legally use a custom version of the app with those hints removed?

I assume you are referring to the yellow boxes at the top of the Transfer Code cards?
Simply clicking the X should hide the box once and for all.

Edit: I got that wrong, if you dismiss it it will actually be shown again after some threshold (code). The threshold is currently equal to the validity duration of a transfer code.

I've passed you're feedback on.

Also, personally I don't see why you shouldn't be able to run a custom version of the app. As long as you are not trying to fake/spoof/social engineer/... anything with respect to the verification process (e.g. the big green overlay), then all you are changing is the "container".
I think this is comparable to people carrying around physical paper cut-outs of just the QR code instead of the whole A4 page. You are changing the presentation format, but the QR code is still official and untampered.
(This is my take and not legal advise.)
