Most of the times I want to load the "latest" of a package with alienv :
alienv load QualityControl/latest
I would like to omit the /latest part that is always there. Thus alienv load QualityControl should implicitely use the latest.

+1, but I wonder if there is not some AliEn related convention crippling in...
