Broken in Firefox

Seems like a good project (and exactly what I'm looking for), but sadly it doesn't seem to work in Firefox. Both my own project and your demo page show no change on mouseover, in firefox. In Chrome, the demo page looks correct to me.

Try removing:
this.el.addEventListener('mouseleave', this.handleTouchEnd, false);
