Html binding?

Hi there is language called assemblyscript (something like typescript but compatibile with webassembly) and webgl engine written on it (LUME)

which has perfect binding for html and react. Coping same thing here could be amazing, and also open three-d to react developer like me :)

I like the idea of better integration, so I'm totally with you on that part 👍 However, I'm not really sure how this integration would work? Would you make it possible for people to use three-d without writing any Rust code?

@asny yes, lume i mentioned above is written in assemblyscript and as developer in react I'm in no use with this language. As react developer I use only javascript and html, the binding works nice.

In three-d it could look like:

            <Viewport x={10} y={20}  width={200} height={500}>

                <OrbitControl paramA={1.0} paramB={100.0}/>
            </Scene>

I'm just rust newbie, but in React 3D webs architecture I'm pretty experienced (I mostly develop 3D editors). In react way I can help, we can connect on discord or something I can help test, provide feedback. But binding strategy for this you have to create probrably by yourself. Maybe this architecture will be impossible even bind to html, don't know. But after if you could make basic running I could by your examples try to bind rest of it. If you are interested of course.

You could definitely use three-d as a starting point for a web based render engine, just make a library in Rust that has three-d as dependency, expose all of the functionality with the #[wasm_bindgen] tag and build the library to web assembly (see e.g. this simple example). Then from JavaScript/TypeScript you have access to the three-d functionality. If you want to add another layer on top of that, for example html tags, then just add that in JS/TS and use the three-d functionality from the webassembly file.

I don't have time to do this and I don't have the JS/TS knowledge. It really doesn't require any special Rust knowledge, the Rust library is a very thin wrapper. If you want to do it, I'll be happy to answer questions of course.
