USACO-Group

About

Starting on 10/15/21 I formed a USACO group in Storming Robots. There are about 10 people that meet every friday 4:30 to 6:00 pm est. Anyone interested in joining should contact [email protected] and must have a reasonable C/C++ ability (knowing recursion and simple DP). Each week I volunteer my time to discuss USACO Bronze or Silver problems in order to strengthen students' algorithmic thinking skills so they can eventually pass USACO Bronze. This is the website for the USACO Student Circle. I had a great experience leading the discussion and trying to get people to form solutions by developing their algorithmic thinking skills.

Hosting Dr. Dean

On April 10th, 2022 I hosted an hour long Q&A with Dr. Brian Dean, the director of USACO. Over 40 people attended! After introducing Dr. Dean I asked questions like: "Who should be taking the USACO" and "How can someone start preparing for USACO". After I was finished, I opened the floor for questions from the audience. Fortunately, there was a lot of participation from the audience and many interesting questions were asked. In general, hosting Dr. Dean was a successful event!
