After installation I get only loading...

I have just installed nodeJS and all of the dependancies.

'Grunt test' returns everything positive and 'npm start' starts the server. But on my localhost:8000 all I get is Shapesmith's logo and text loading...

Am I missing something that I need to install or is this a bug ?

Hmmm sounds like the db isn't initialised.
Can you tell me the contents of db/ directory? (ls -l db/)
Which browser are you using?
Are there any errors in the console output?
