I have a black and blue background in gimp, then when imported to Synfig it's white.

Why?

Can you Gimp / Synfig / Os version please ?

Did you use layer fusion / blend ?
What layer/blending mode did you use ?
Does blend mode appear in Synfig's layers ?
Can you make a screenshot of both gimp / synfig layer panel ?
