Can't fetch users with hyphen in username

If I try to fetch the user "grey-area" at https://api.hnpwa.com/v0/user/grey-area.json, I get an error message of "Cannot read property 'apply' of undefined".

This appears to be caused by the hyphen in the username "grey-area". The existence of a hyphen at all causes the error, even if the user doesn't exist. Other characters may be problematic too but I haven't found any more
