What Happened?

During the discussion in #134 we all somehow forgot that other elements in the Network indicator are also affected by the unfixed height of the indicator. Case in point - Settings.

I often run into the issue (again) when wanting to access settings, e.g. to retrieve a password for the current network (sidenote - have you seen that dialog lately? very very oldschool, nothing like elementary).

Steps to Reproduce

  1. open the network indicator by clicking its icon in wingpanel
  2. wait 1-2s
  3. see the indicator changing size due to more wifi networks being loaded

Expected Behavior

The UI should have consistent size and elements should not jump "randomly" from under users' mouse cursors.

Consider:

  • moving Settings to the top as an icon next to the "airplane mode"
  • hidden networks - 🤷
