In Claude.ai I talk to it regularly now with Sonnet 3.5 and flesh out a feature for my rails apps, and the artifacts are nice, but it would be nicer to see a collection of files/changes the AI has been suggesting to me as we go further along the conversation.
After 20 or so messages, it's hard to scroll around to the latest version of a file, then find the latest version of another file and so on.
Description
I don't know how hard this would be to implement.
But it would be great if when you're talking with a Developer AI persona, all code snippets (latest version per file!) you get back get put on a sort of working "file tree" on the left.
Then when I feel I'm at a good point with the conversation, I would just look at the file tree of suggestions and use that to work against what the AI told me.
Does that make sense?
Requirements
I can follow these instructions, but it would be really nice to see a filetree on the left with the files and code it's suggesting, see what I mean?

The artifact system is not hard to implement. But it's very specific to Claude (XML formatting in the output, and a huge input prompt), so I'm not sure it would work with others.
Any designer in the house feel free to mockup how this could work.
