Slightly inaccurate determination of the course bearing causes rather large deviation of A- and B-Base in F3B #1

The normal gps inaccuracy causes little deviation of the course bearing during course setup. This deviation grows the shorter the distance between the scanned positions is.

In F3F you normally fly not too far away from the slope and therefore from the scanned line, so the shift of the bases will not be too bad.

In F3B you can easily fly 50m or more away from the course line and the shift of the baselines increases with that distance. So a better determination of the exact course bearing is necessary for F3B.

Solution could be a direct input of the exact bearing when it's known or determined via google maps
