HA 2024.8 - Card not displaying on Mac HA Companion App

UPDATE: Interestingly, it works in a browser but not in the Home Assistant companion for Mac.
iOS seems ok too.

As of the new version of HA, the card displays;

var(--primary-color)
var(--app-header-text-color)
var(--secondary-background-color)

All the rest is blank.

I've done a lot of testing here and I can't work out why it won't work in the companion app on MacOS.

It looks like this is an issue in the front-end or the MacOS companion app and not this card. I'm not sure what I can change to make it work in the companion app.

Understood. It really is strange and possibly to do with the UI rework in 2024.8 somehow. Perhaps the companion app will catch up. Might just be a matter of time.

Just a quick note to say I still can't make it work. It's weird. All other cards but for some reason, this is being difficult! :) Have you any thought of getting in touch with the app devs to see if it's something that can be fixed?
If you don't want to pursue it being that it's A) Mac and B) the companion App, I will understand and see if I can work out another less-tidy avenue.

It's not that I don't want to pursue it, but other activities are occupying my time. Also, I still didn't find out what's causing the issue.

After this week I'll be leaving for vacation for a few weeks, so I'm afraid there won't be a fix for some time. But if anyone finds the real issue and can fix it, I'm open for PR's. :)
