Hi guest271314,

It is unfortunate that you do not understand why that message was perceived as an attack by other readers or why several people reported it for CoC violation. It is also unfortunate that you seem to not see the issue with ignoring a request from a fellow org member and then a moderator asking you to self-moderate your comments.

Node.js is committed to our pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone. The moderation team feels that your conduct falls under harassment and you haven't taken responsibility for your actions - so your removal from the org stands.

Further messages regarding the removal without applying the steps outlined in our first response will be ignored.

Thanks,
Benjamin Gruenbaum

Hi Benjamin,

I asked you what specific content your organzation claimed violated your code of conduct.

I believe you are citing this comment https://github.com/nodejs/single-executable/discussions/15#discussioncomment-3418986 as your reason?

I didn't "attack" anybody. Who are where are you alleging I attacked someone personally? Cite the language you are referring to specifically.

If so, what specific language in that comment are you referring to?

> We will consider lifting said ban if you:
- Acknowledge responsibility.

1. I didn't attack any individual personally.
2. I was not "disrepectful" of any individual.

Since you are alleging otherwise, kindly cite the specific language you are claiming is a personal "attack" on anyone in your organization, and what you are alleging is "disprespectful".

I just said I am not interested in npm and disclosed my use case for SEA. All of a sudden I am being accused of attacking an individual and being "not respectful".

> - Explain specifically what you did wrong and what you will do differently in the future.

You need to provide specificity in your claims.

I am completely responsible for my content.

Nowhere did I call anybody out of their usename.

What specific language in any of my comments in the issue I opened are you alleging was "wrong"?

> - Pledge to uphold our Code of Conduct.

Sure. I have, and will do so.

Again, nowehere did I call anybody out of their name.

My posts were about my use case for SEA, and pertinent questions about passing arguments to a single-executable which is no different from node example.js, which means SEA design pattern would not be novel; and the frialties of an organization that cannot handle internal scrutiny, and labels dissent as "not respectful" or an "attack" on an individual - that never happended.

I am not sure how my posts got interpreted by any user, and you apparently, as an "attack" on any user. That simply didn't happen. That is why you must provide the text you are attributing as an individual attack, for my own records.

As it stands I have no idea what specific language you are interpreting as an attack on an individual or "not respectful" behaviour.

I look forward to your clarification by providing specific quotes of the text in my posts that you are colors "attack" and "not respectful" re this matter.

Kind regards,
/guest271314/

Hi guest271314,

You have communicated in an unconstructive manner in nodejs/single-executable#15 (reply in thread).

We believe that has violated the following in the Code of Conduct: "pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone" and was not respectful of differing opinions or viewpoints and attacked a fellow community member.

When asked first by the community member and then by a Node.js moderation team member to correct that behavior - instead of acknowledging the issue and correcting said behavior you doubled down.

We have additionally received several moderation team reports regarding your behavior in nodejs/single-executable#1 and in nodejs/admin#708 .

Unfortunately, since you received two opportunities to correct your behavior to align with our code of conduct and refused - we have decided to remove you from the Node.js organization and block you from the GitHub org to uphold our Code of Conduct.

We will consider lifting said ban if you:

  • Acknowledge responsibility.
  • Explain specifically what you did wrong and what you will do differently in the future.
  • Pledge to uphold our Code of Conduct.

We feel your ideas and feedback were being taken into consideration and there was constructive discussion occurring. We suggest you consider making amends and focusing on communicating those ideas and feedback in a way that aligns with our Code of Conduct.

Thanks,
Benjamin Gruenbaum
