Bioinformatics trainings for newbies

This repository contains all training material from the bioinformatics platform at Gustave Roussy (BiGR).
All courses are free, but registration is required !

• Introduction to R and RStudio

  • Prerequisites:
    • A laptop with R>4.0.0 and RStudio installed
      Notes: If you can’t install R>4.0.0 or Rstudio, pre-sessions to get help is planned; if you don’t have a laptop, borrow one from the DTNSI ([email protected] or https://5500.gustaveroussy.fr/HEAT/).
    • Your motivation, smile and kindness ;)
  • Program:
    • Introduction to R basics
    • RStudio interface usage
    • Installation of the swirl package
  • Next pre-sessions: date to define, during working hours, in 101 room (B2M).
  • Next sessions (10 students max per session):
    • other sessions will be planned in March 2025.
  • Registration here.
  • Html resources for this course here (download and open in your favorite web browser. Firefox/Chrome recommended).

• Deepening of swirl

  • Prerequisites:
    • Have taken the Introduction to R and RStudio course.
    • Finish the R package Swirl (mainly the 9 first modules + modules n°15).
  • Program:
    • Review the last modules of Swirl.
  • Next sessions (10 students max per session):
    • French: 05th of September 2024, 14:00-17:00, in the Cristal room, B2M.
    • English: 13th of September 2024, 14:00-17:00, the room has to be confirmed, B2M.
  • Registration by email (you will be contacted by us).
