Hi,

I've used XPERI+ since the day I got my 5 II (Android 12, no root) to completely disable the assistant button, which made a great phone a near perfect phone. Many thanks for creating this app.

However, as of last week my volume buttons are no longer working (99.999% of the time) due to a hardware issue which I will deal with for the time being.

I want to re-enable the assistant button to use it as a shortcut for screenshots or volume down. I toggled the assistant button to ON in XPERI+ (8.0) but regardless of which function/app I select, it doesn't do anything. When it's toggled ON it does respond when the phone is locked, but it just asks for my fingerprint/PIN but no other actions are performed.

I checked the accessibility settings, made sure to give permissions through adb again, checked app privileges in Android settings but nothing worked so far.

Any tips/advice would be much appreciated.
