Someone might want this one day.
Hell, I kind of want it now. My itchy, lazy programmer fingers - especially without a complete IDE to make single-line comments easier to write - occasionally want to use

a whole block of ignored text
*/

It's not clear non-programmer users will care, but the joke is on them: By using a programmable metronome, they have become programmers. Welcome to 2021.
