How about adding possibility to adjust linkTemplate from items array?

$template = ArrayHelper::getValue($item, 'template', $this->linkTemplate);
            return strtr($template, [
                '{url}' => Url::to($item['url']),
                '{label}' => $item['label'],
            ]);

as in parent Menu widget. This can help us with adding options like data-pjax=0
Or add htmlOptions support to fill link with some custom stuff.

Resolved via latest commit (upgrade to release v2.7.0).
