There is a small button (with text containing << >>) on the "part number" header let's you split the "part number" into "manufacturer" and "part number". This is kind of a confusing interaction.

Not sure what the best solution is to still let people edit "manufacturer" and "part number" but optimize for the common use case which is only editing "part number".
