Scope. This Policy describes the ways Linode LLC and Linode International Services Company (collectively “Linode”) uses Cookies. This Policy forms a part of the Linode Terms of Service and is Supplemental Use Policy thereunder. All capitalized terms not expressly defined in this Policy shall have the meaning found in the Master Services Agreement.

Types of Cookies. A cookie is a data file that is distributed by an online service provider and stored on your device as a result of your web browsing activities. Cookies can exist in a temporary or persistent state, and serve a wide variety of purposes. The types of Cookies used by Linode in connection to the Services are as follows:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies. This type of Cookie is required for your navigation and basic operation of a Service and its features (a “Strictly Necessary Cookie”). Disabling a Strictly Necessary Cookie may partially or entirely render a Service inaccessible or otherwise unavailable.
- Functional Cookies. This type of Cookie collects Data that you previously provided to Linode, such as user name, login, and other saved preferences, and allows Linode to provide you with a personalized and streamlined experience when using a Service (a “Functional Cookie”). Disabling a Functional Cookie may partially render a Service inaccessible or otherwise unavailable.
- Performance Cookies. This type of Cookie collects Data on the sources of your Service interactions, such as traffic metrics and platform information, and allows Linode to improve Service performance (a “Performance Cookie”). Disabling a Performance Cookie may render you ineligible for certain Linode Supplemental Programs.

This type of Cookie collects Data on how you interact with a Service, such as duration of your use and the Service features used by you, and allows Linode to improve Service accessibility and efficiency (an “Analytical Cookie”). This type of Cookie collects Data on behalf of authorized third parties, such as social media and subprocessor providers, and are not distributed by Linode ( a “Third Party Cookie”). Disabling a Third-Party Cookie may render you ineligible for certain Linode Supplemental Programs.

- Applicability. This Policy applies to you and your Covered Users with respect to the Services. You shall be responsible for: (i) informing your other Covered Users, if any, of the existence of this Policy, as well as any amendments, updates, or modifications made to this Policy; and (ii) agreeing to this Policy, as amended, updated or modified from time to time, on behalf of all Covered Users. This Policy forms a part of the Linode Terms of Service and is a Supplemental Use Policy thereunder. All capitalized terms not expressly defined in this Policy shall have the meaning found in the Master Services Agreement.
- Browsers. Linode is unable to provide browser support and request that you consult your browser’s help function for specific Cookie management assistance. For your convenience, links to user manual of numerous browsers have been listed below.
- Changes. Amendments to this Policy may be made at any time and you should check back frequently for any changes. Linode shall have the right and ability to amend this Policy at Linode's sole and absolute discretion, and any amendments herein shall be effective within fourteen (14) days of being posted by Linode or by your continued use of the Services, whichever sooner.
