Dear GitHub Legal Department,

I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of grave concern related to bullying and harassment taking place on the GitHub platform, in violation of GitHub's stated policies.

GitHub has long been known for its commitment to fostering a community that values open collaboration and respectful communication among its users. I appreciate the platform's stance on not tolerating harassment, bullying, or abuse of any kind, as outlined in your policy. However, I regret to inform you that I have been a target of such behavior by two specific users on GitHub: "https://github.com/lscheffler" and "https://github.com/DougHennig."

The harassment I have experienced, both on GitHub and previously within the FoxPro community, includes but is not limited to:

Targeted personal attacks: I have been subjected to unwarranted personal attacks and derogatory comments, which are not related to the content of my contributions on the platform.

Orchestrating disruptive activity: The individuals in question have actively engaged in orchestrating disruptive activities in public discussions, causing an atmosphere of abuse and chaos that hampers constructive discourse.

Following another user around: The users have persistently followed me around the platform, leaving no room for productive interaction and causing significant intimidation.

The specific instance of bullying I am reporting on GitHub occurred in this GitHub issue: "VFPX#112 (comment)." This issue comment is just one example of the ongoing harassment I have faced on GitHub at the hands of these bullies. Calling my skills unseen is LIBEL according to the laws of the US and Canada.

https://github.com/DougHennig has now blocked me from the GoFish site, but that is not his decision alone as it was for the cowards of other sites. I am reporting Doug's dehumanizing behavior to GitHub's legal department for ignoring my contributions and for allowing Lutz Scheffler to call my skills unseen and doing nothing about that.

I had previously endured many years of bullying within the FoxPro community before deciding to stand up against it. Regrettably, the instigators of this harassment have continued their harmful behavior on GitHub, thereby disrupting my experience on the platform and infringing upon GitHub's policies.

I would like to emphasize that I fully understand the distinction between disagreements and harassment, as outlined in GitHub's policy. However, the behavior I am reporting clearly crosses the line and creates a hostile environment that goes against the principles GitHub strives to uphold.

I kindly request that the GitHub Legal Department take appropriate action to address this matter promptly. This may include investigating the reported harassment, issuing warnings, and, if necessary, enforcing sanctions in accordance with your platform's policies. I believe that by doing so, GitHub can continue to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all its users.

Please let me know the steps and timeline for addressing this issue. I am willing to cooperate fully to provide any additional information or evidence that may assist in resolving this matter effectively.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this serious issue. I trust that GitHub will take appropriate action to ensure the safety and well-being of its users and maintain its reputation as a welcoming and inclusive platform for all.

Sincerely,
