The sound of the line being uncoiled could add some immersion to the device.

I've added the rope whooshing sound, how's that?

Sorry about taking so long to get to this, BTW. Been doing a lot of heavy lifting in the castles mod, have been trying to avoid context-switching for most of it. (though I got a bit derailed with an idea for dynamic liquids at one point :)

I'll have a look later! I also got the idea to audibly indicate when the plumb hit the bottom and what it hits.
🔈 Nothing when reaching unknown bottom
🔈 Splash sound when reaching water
🔈 Flop sound when reaching lava
🔈 Stone step sound when reaching solids. (or if possible dynamically play the walking sound of the type of block reached)
