Every time when chose the year, there will be flash on the month and day view

I guess you have found a better solution since this day, but if it helps someone else, i fixed in a fork (quick & dirty way but it works as expected)

and thanks to jitpack easy to share :
implementation 'com.github.loicteillard:material-slide-date-picker:v2.0.2'
