Implementing collapse ui element using react-spring 9+ capabilities

Hello everyone, I am trying to implement collapse using react-spring.
I've already seen this codesandbox which should help me find the right direction. But the problem is that the Tree component is completely uncontrolled, whereas I was trying to implement controlled one. So, I ran into several problems that gave me the idea that I was doing something wrong.

As you can see, there are requirements for adding some specific css rules during animation. Perhaps I chose not the best solution, but I do not see others yet.

I would like to know the opinion of the community about this implementation. Thanks guys!
