Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Whenever there is a family event, we have pictures taken on multiple phones and we would like to share them all with each other. I can create an album on Nextcloud to share my photos with others, but it's not easy to allow others to upload theirs to the album.

Describe the solution you'd like
When sharing a public album link, allows users to upload photos without an account. Perhaps have an setting to choose which directory files are uploaded to (to keep it separate from the main user's files), but still have those files attached to the album.

(looks like #69 may be a pre-requisite for this issue)

Describe alternatives you've considered
Using a mix of Nextcloud options. My current workflow

  • creating a new album (using Photos or Memories)
  • adding my photos to the album
  • creating a public link for album
  • creating a new folder in Nextcloud Files
  • setting share settings for foloder to allow file upload by anyone with link
  • sharing both links with family members and specify one is for uploading and one is for viewing (not an ideal experience and causes confusion)

Would love this feature for sharing trip photos with friends. Right now we I have to have them upload to a normal nextcloud shared folder then move them over into Memories.

Exactly this use case. Currently, when I want to share and collect photos I always put them into a folder and share this folder. I'm not using memories at all. Would love to be able to share and collect photos from memories.

@pulsejet any comments if and when this can be realized?
I would really love to see this feature and now that #69 is resolved, it shouldn't be too complicated to add the upload button to public links as well, right?
