It would be nice to be able to add captions to photos, especially for shared albums. Very few photo apps seem to have this.

Why not use the EXIF title and description?

These don't appear by default would be one answer, or in the gallery view.

I've also thought it would be nice if the title and/or description would be shown in the slideshow, but I could see that being a rabbit hole since other folks might like to see other parameters to. Ideally there would be a setting that would let you chose which exit parameters to view in the viewer but I'm not sure exactly what the implementation would look like.
