[v19.08.2-3.0.3] App keeps asking for local network access when activated #1459

Device information

  • iOS/iPadOS version: 17.4.1
  • Device model: iPhone 13
  • Sideload tool (AltStore, Sideloadly, TrollStore, etc.):
    Altstore

Describe the issue

When trying to stream to a tv youtube shows the screen to redirect to settings to allow local network access, even though it already has it.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open App
  2. Tap on Cast Button
  3. Page with „please give local network access“ appears, even though it already has access.

Does the issue happen with the official YouTube app from the App Store?

❌ No, I cannot reproduce this issue in the official YouTube app from the App Store

To bypass this issue for now, you can disable WiFi and turn on your mobile network. Then click the cast icon, link with the TV code (which you can get from YouTube where you want to cast from), and when it is successfully linked, enable WiFi again.

see #1395 (comment) for fix this worked for me
