Describe the bug

Telemetry reports a significant number of Request textDocument/hover failed with message: Invalid regular expression: /(?s).*/: Invalid group errors
In VS Code, errors started piling up on 30/01/2023

Expected Behavior

No errors on hover

Current Behavior

hover fails in some conditions
