Hi. It should be possible, but it will require a lot of work.

  • Does OpenDingux has Java? I searched a little, and it seems that there is no JDK or JRE for OpenDingux, so the game must be rewritten in the C++. It shouldn't be hard, but will take a lot of time.
  • Does OpenDingux supports OpenGL / OpenGL ES? Probably yes, but is this true for all handhelds? Currently game engine use OpenGL a lot, and rewriting it to good old 2D will take even more time.
  • Also while game engine (renderer, AI) can be ported, there are some Android-specific parts of the code (UI, menus, settings). It must be rewritten from scratch.

So... porting to OpenDingux is definitely possible, but I am not interested in doing so at the moment.

But all code, all graphics and levels are open sourced, so you are welcome to make such a port. Long live open source! 😄
