I didn't find any explanation about the BM_ENCRYPTION_RECIPIENT parameter. Can it be used with a key that it stored locally? Does the key have to belong to the root user that launch backup-manager? Does the key have to been published on a public key server?

I think that an explanation about creating and using a GPG key with Backup-Manager is missing.

You need to define the "Real Name" of the gpg key you've created with the command :

gpg --gen-key
