Question: library with similar functionality

I would like to integrate similar functionality to the cut Unix utility and, of course, this tool to a Rust cli app. However, this crate is just a binary, but I need a library. Do you know of any rust libraries with similar functionality to this? Would you ever consider splitting this project into a library and then a front-end cli tool?
