It would be nice to support writing out to TimescaleDB instead of, or in addition to influx.

TimeScaleDB is a PostgreSQL extension, it provides the full advanced feature set found with PostgreSQL. I see there is another Feature-Request #441 this would tie in well.

Right now I utilize outflux to perform batch exports from influx to TimeScaleDB, however, it's a batched process and therefore is not as realtime as it should be.

I would rather prefer support for new InfluxDB 2.0 which final version has been released recently.
