Hi everyone,

I don't know if this is the place to report this type of issue but one of our users on GBIF noticed that the Swedish vernacular name for Centaurea jacea is incorrect.
He writes:

This is not "Blomsterlupin" in Swedish. Centaurea jacea is "rödklint" in Swedish. Blomserlupin is Lupinus polyphyllus.

See original GitHub issue: gbif/backbone-feedback#459
If this is not the place to report this type of issue, please let me know where I should log it. Thanks!!

Some extra info from @ManonGros

One of our users recently contacted us because she noticed a lot of incorrect Swedish vernacular names on our species search. After checking, it seems that these names come from the DAISIE - Inventory of alien invasive species in Europe checklist.

I asked our user if she could check the Swedish names in the checklist and she found that most names are wrong.

She suspects that someone might have had a spreadsheet, and by mistake sorted just one or a few columns instead of changing the sort order for the whole table. She noticed for example that for the family Apiace all species with genus names beginning with A-I had vernacular names referring to Asteraceae, the following species to Boraginaceae, then Brassicaceae.

She also wrote that the issue seems to affect all the Scandinavian languages (not just the Swedish names).

Thanks. Is it possible to remove the vernacular names for Scandinavian countries from the GBIF checklist? We don't have resources to fix the original DAISIE dataset that is now ~15 years old
