When clicking in the lower area of the screen, the menu doesn't fit, so you have to scroll to the required item, which is not very convenient :)

Is it possible to pop it up instead, if the menu size is larger than the available screen space?

Meanwhile, try the -gtk3 flag. It does not have this issue.

Thanks for the tip! Indeed, Gtk3 does pop up in the right direction, but it lacks the icon tooltip which is more important to me :)

Menu popup direction is not a critical issue to me personally, but if it's possible to do something about it in Gtk2, that would be awesome.
