Currently Pal Calc only recognizes "Base", "Party", and "Palbox" as storage locations. Pals in viewing cages should still be getting detected, but their location will not be set as "viewing cage". The calculated X,Y storage coordinates for a pal are based on the storage type, so not only is the location type wrong, the storage coordinates are likely wrong as well.
Note: Search for MapObjectId PalBoxV2, DisplayCharacter, find associated container IDs

I figured out how to collect the IDs for pal boxes and viewing cages, and how to tell which base contains a given viewing cage, but I can't find the data which links them to their containers. I can't investigate further since palworld-save-tools is partially broken after the Sakurajima update. If I had a pre-Sakurajima save with a viewing cage, I should be able to figure it out, but I don't have anything like that on hand.
Putting this on hold until I get a sample save which can be read by palworld-save-tools, or palworld-save-tools gets updated to handle the latest format
