I'm phd student from MIPT.

I think this project is awesome, and I actually want to add some new features and may be to use it in my seminars. But absence of any license confuses me. Could you provide some information about licese? Is it GNU or some MIT-specific license?

To me the license seems very clearly exposed. It's everywhere "Copyright (C) 2011 Massachusetts Institute of Technology"

I see. I suppose this is not an open source product, am I right?

Not really. I published these files here because I thought they were interesting and they said they were open sourcing them soon. But, as far as I know, that never happened

It looks like this code has been integrated into edx and open sourced (AGPL) here:
https://github.com/edx/edx-platform/blob/master/common/lib/xmodule/xmodule/js/src/capa/schematic.js
